Your gym leggings should feel like a second skin when worn. They should provide a snug feeling around your bum, calves, and thighs without being so tight that they feel restrictive. Having to do a little wiggle to get them on is quite normal but having to struggle is not.

In this case you will need to size up.
SLIPPING DOWN - A pair of gym leggings that slip down and need pulling up all the time may actually be too small for you, so consider going up a size or two to prevent this.
SEE-THROUGH - Gym leggings are not supposed to be see-through. Squat-proof leggings will only become sheer if the material is overstretched and too tight. To keep your gym leggings in top condition and squat-proof, size up to prevent the elasticity being broken down by overstretching.
LEGGINGS THAT ARE TOO BIG…..
BAGGY CROTCH - If you're finding that the crotch of your gym legging is too loose/you have to continually adjust your clothing, it may be a sign to move down a size. Nobody wants chaffing - especially here!
LOOSE KNEES - If your gym leggings are fitting through the waist, hips and thighs but are loose at the knees you will need to go down a size as workout fabric for leggings should be form fitting to your figure.
FALLING DOWN - If you gym leggings are ending up at your knees when you jump up and down in your HIIT class then this is a definite sign that you have the wrong size.
